Reaching America At 250

by National Men's Ministries on June 15, 2026

As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, let us also lift up our nation and its people before the Lord in prayer.

On July 4, at 9 am (all time zones) believers across the U.S. will take a moment to intercede for America in prayer. There is no disputing that Americans need to turn their hearts towards God, repent of sin, and start a new walk with Him. However, we are powerless to convict the heart of this nation. Only the Holy Spirit can do that. Our assignment as Christ followers is to boldly live for Him and PRAY.

That is why AmericaPrays 250 is important. Please join us at 9 am on July 4 to shake heaven on behalf of every person living within the borders of the United States. Thank you for joining us!

During our 13 years serving as U.S. missionaries, my wife, Bev, and I saw firsthand the spiritual need across America. Today, through National Light for the Lost, our burden for reaching people with the hope of Jesus is stronger than ever.

We want to acknowledge and bless every believer who brings Christ (the Light) into American homes—pastors, evangelists, U.S. missionaries, and faithful Christians—by being
daily witnesses for Him.

Through the generous support of ministry partners like you, Light for the Lost helps provide many varieties of vital evangelism resources to U.S. missionaries serving across our nation. To all of those who support us, we say "thank you" for making this ministry possible.

For those who are new to Light for the Lost, I extend an invitation to become part of the Team. Since 1953, LFTL has raised funds to make sure Assemblies of God missionaries have the evangelism resources they need, in any language, for any people group. Those resources could be in print, audio, video, internet technologies, or apps.

As we celebrate America, please continue to pray for her. Our nation needs Jesus now more than ever. Do not grow weary in praying, giving, or sharing your faith. God may use you to help lead someone in your life to Christ.

Yours for America,

Rick Allen, National LFTL Director
